You know, DA, I think the only reason why I'm still on your website is because of all the awesome friends I've made and all the inspirational artists I've been watching. But with this new rule, you just fucking made art theft ethical. I hope you're proud of yourself.

I know some people have learned their art technique via tracing, but it should NEVER be through DIRECT FUCKING TRACING. Yes, I used previous art to draw my characters, a long time ago as child before any actual training and self teaching, but I used them as REFERENCE ONLY.

Why should I accept some brat's art that was clearly traced from a screenshot, a photo, or my even my own work and they get all the fucking credit when some of us actually pour our blood, sweat, tears, and love into our own work?

I don't know if this rule was created by someone who doesn't think fanart should be considered fanart, but I don't care. Regardless if the subject matter is original or not, it's still art.

Granted, I know I'm just a micro speck in the DA community, but if tracing is going to be considered as a learning tool, put the damn drawings in "scraps", tag it as traced, give the reference fucking credit and don't even think about making it a print. Or better yet, DON'T FUCKING POST IT.

I'm finally back in Japan to continue my study abroad...after a horrendous flight that had turbulence every 30 seconds (at least that's what it felt) and a two hour delay because of inspections to the plane in case there were damages sustained from turbulence from the previous flight. Now add to the fact I can NEVER sleep on planes, I was and still somewhat tired. =_=;;;


And because I'm bored and I don't feel like sleeping yet...
10 Things May Not Know About Amixy

1. Amixy doesn't drink coffee. She prefers a good cup of Japanese tea.

2. There's two non-Kingdom Hearts cannon worlds she would like to visit: The Underground Shibuya(aka The World Ends with You world) and the world of Katekyo Hitman Reborn. Why? For UG Shibuya, the items she can purchase there and practicing her fighting techniques. As for the KHR world, I have no idea honestly. Although it's rumored that she would like to challenge Xanxus, although that's pretty out of her league.

3. If there's a video game genre she's good at, it's anything with music. It can range from DDR to Guitar Hero to Ouedan/Elite Beat Agents. She sucks at racing games and will curse excessively at Mario Kart (Blue shells, anyone?)

4. The one item she will never ever use with her element is her shamisen from before she became a nobody. Because the other price to become a nobody was her memories of her lover, she doesn't remember who gave it, let alone taught her the tsugaru style she uses now.

5. She enjoys reading and playing her shamisen in her spare alone time.

6. If Amixy was ever animated or brought to her life, her speaking voice would be similar to Japanese actress Anna Tsuchiya. This trailer to the movie Sakuran is a fine example. However, her language gets rougher and vulgar only when she's angry or shows her true colors as a nobody.

7. When it comes to drinking, Amixy's a heavy weight, but don't worry;she's a happy drunk and might sing you Avenue Q songs or even Rick Roll you if you're a close friend. XD She prefers high grade shochuu and whiskey.

8. Amixy prefers to platform style shoes/sandals. It suits the fact her close combat fighting skills heavily rely on kicks.

9. Her current design is based off the Medicine Seller from the "Bakeneko" story arc of "Ayakashi: Japanese Classic Horror Stories" and its spin off series "Mononoke". In fact her heartless, Tamaki (who's character sheet I've YET to create), has a bakeneko (ghost cat) motif to his design.

10. The two Kingdom Hearts cannon worlds she visits the most are Agrabah and the Land of Dragons for their items like spices, drugs, clothing, etc.

Holy crap. It's been 4 years since I've joined DA. O_O;;;

Geez, do I feel old after saying that.

Well, with December, comes the finals. I won't start them until next week, but the professors just want to bombard us with stuff. DO NOT WANT. DX

I'll be back home on the 22nd, which means even less time on the internet, and lots of cleaning the house. =w=;;;Granted, it will be nice to be in warm weather, a better time zone, and such, but I'll miss my friends up here, even though I'll be back next semester. A month without them will be hell. DX

STEP ONE

** Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") ** If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

** Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!


STEP TWO

** Surf around your friend list to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

** If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

** You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.


AS A PREREQUISITE, I'M AWFUL AT THESE THINGS.


1) Gift art/fics are much love. It can any of my OCs or for a fandom. Current fandoms are Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Naruto, Bleach, and Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler). Note me for specifics.


2) I'd like to learn how not be so over-reactive. I have a horrible tendency to over complicate things and suffer greatly from this.


3) A Yoshida Brothers CD, preferably the one with "Storm" and "Kodou" on it. I've been looking all over Osaka and Kyoto for them, but no luck.


4) A hackable PSP and Dissidia-Final Fantasy-. Seriously, if you haven't seen the Tokyo Game Show trailer, it's a FF fan's dream come true. >w<


5) I want to go back and learn more about traditional painting. I'm mostly self taught, but never got beyond the basics. Well, it's more like I want to do more figure drawing and find that coloring style that fits me the most with my tablet.


6) To be left to my own devices when I come back home for winter break. All I do whenever I get back is cleaning. This is why sometimes living in an Asian household sucks. When it's new year's time, lots of cleaning for a new year. DX

7) I admit it, I never watched Buffy and Angel growing up. If anyone can provide me a link to where I can watch it or something, I'll forver love you.

8) I wish people would lower their price for doujinshis.I've been buying too many as of late. XD

9) A scanner. Seriously, I have a lot of Copic markers sitting on my shelf and they look lonely since I haven't used them in a while.

10) I want something that comes from the heart. I'm sure you can think of the perfect thing. Even if it's just a nice note.

It's to freaking cold up here. D| My roommate and I have the heater cranked in our room and there's actual temperature shock between our room and the hallway. XD

I admit it. I'm now a Katekyo Hitman Reborn fan. (Goku/Yama, Xanxus/Squalo, Dino/Hibari. whut? XD) It's so popular, so I had to read it. I was going to buy a Vongola ring at the Jump Shop, but it would be 8000 yen for the good one (which is around 80 USD).

Since we had the day off yesterday, a trip to Den Den Town was in order. I should not be allowed in Animate and K's Books or else my wallet will DIE. I'm already Animate's bitch as it is. It didn't help that K's Books had a whole row of doujinshis devoted to KHR. 2 Xanxus/Squalo doujinshis, a 25 year old!Lambo/Reborn one, and a Yama/Goku doujin. Granted there wasn't much pron, they had wonderful art and plot. (What? Buying doujins for plot??? The world's gonna end! XD ) Besides, if I do want pron, there's always the KHR kink meme, y!gallery, and drawing it myself.

A friend told me that Kyoto has a huge open air market going on the 21st of every month and there's a good chance I can find a shamisen there. I might have to ask Dad for the money though for it. =_=;;; (Better cut back on the doujin buying.)

Oh and I recieved a package from Mom on Monday. 4 cans of spam, 3 bags of mac nuts, a large jar of peanut butter, a jar of strawberry and guava jelly, and a bag of goldfish crackers for the win. X3

And now I just wait for people to finish up their morning classes, have lunch, and dread the afternoon classes. |D
